OGC services

OGC services consist of a group of technologies that provide availability and access to spatial information about the demarcation by using a group of standards and specifications that allow the applications to operate under know conditions.

The Guadalquivir River Basin District supplies citizens with the following geo-services:

Web Map Service (WMS)

Through the exchange of XML requests and answers, WMS service allows the publication of maps à la carte parting from geo-referenced data but not acceding to the very data but only to their graphic representation. These maps can contain information about several raster and/or vectorial layers, overlapped in a certain but modifiable order.

WMS OGC services

The organization offers the following cartographic layers through this service:

  • Territorial basin.
  • Territorial demarcation.
  • Regions.
  • Districts.
  • Municipalities.
  • Provinces.
  • Protected natural spaces.
  • Sites of Community Importance.
  • Ramsar.
  • Special Protection Areas.
  • Bathing areas.
  • Sensible areas.
  • Vulnerable zones.
  • Groundwater bodies.
  • Surface water bodies – coastal water.
  • Surface water bodies – lake.
  • Surface water bodies – river.
  • Surface water bodies – transitional water.
  • Water bodies basins.
  • Reservoirs.
  • Wetlands.
  • Hydrographical network.
  • Water purifying station.
  • Dams.
  • Stream-gage stations.
  • Groundwater quality monitoring station.
  • Surface water quality monitoring station.
  • Automatic System of Hydrologic Information – SAIH.
  • Springs.
  • Piezometers.
  • Automatic System of Quality of Waters.
  • Series of images NDVI (MODIS sensor).

Web Feature Service (WFS)

The feature service offers reading access to vectorial data using GML as underlying protocol to carry-out spatial consultations to recover data and to manipulate geometry.

WFS OGC services

Through this service the Guadalquivir River Basin District provides citizens with the following cartographic layers:

  • Territorial basin.
  • Territorial demarcation.
  • Groundwater bodies.
  • Surface water bodies – coastal water.
  • Surface water bodies – lake.
  • Surface water bodies – river.
  • Surface water bodies – transitional water.
  • Water bodies basins.
  • Reservoirs.
  • Hydrographical network.
  • Water purifying station.
  • Dams.

URL for access to the WFS service is: http://idechg.chguadalquivir.es/ogc/wfs?

Web Coverage Service (WCS)

The coverage service supplies raster information under its original semantics. This means that it not only allows access to the image (as the WMS service does) but also to its values or properties (for instance, height values in a digital elevation model).

WCS OGC services

Through this service the Guadalquivir River Basin District supplies citizens with the following information:

  • Digital Elevation Model (25x25).
  • Series of images NDVI (MODIS sensor).

URL for access to WCS service is http://idechg.chguadalquivir.es/ogc/wcs?

Catalog Web Services (CSW):

The catalog service defines a common interface for the query, request and retrieval of metadata referring to geographical data, services and resources.

The URL for the CSW service is: http://idechg.chguadalquivir.es/ogc/csw?
